We are less than a 10-minute drive from Llyn Clywedog Trout Fishery and 20 minutes from Clywedog Sailing & Paddle Sports Club. Take a trip to the Bryntail Lead Mines, nestled in the shadow of the dam. From April to mid-September, enjoy the natural beauty all around and take a 10-minute walk to the Osprey Hide
Hafren Forest & More
The Hafren Forest is accessible from our front door and is a beautiful place to walk. You can walk to the source of the Severn or if you fancy a little bit of a challenge you can walk to Plynlimon Fawr the highest point in Mid Wales.
The National Cycle Route NCR 8, Lon Las Cymru and the long-distance footpath Glyndwr's Way pass by our accommodation.
Glaslyn Nature Reserve, & Sandy Beaches
Staylittle or in Welsh Penffordd-las, is a small village set in the shallow upland basin of the Afon Clywedog. A short drive from the accommodation is the Glaslyn Nature Reserve. Local beaches are a 40-minute drive away and they are not to be missed, clean sandy beaches with dedicated dog friendly areas, all year round. Our local town is Llanidloes the first town on the River Severn, a town that offers an array of cafes, gift shops and pubs.
